UNION CITY, Tenn. – Simmons Bank announced the promotion of Matthew Bird to the position of Union City community executive today. Bird previously served the bank as vice president and commercial loan officer. A lifelong resident of west Tennessee, Bird has seven years of experience in retail and commercial banking with Simmons Bank.
“Matthew is passionate about his work and helping businesses achieve their financial goals,” said Tony Gregory, Tennessee regional chairman for Simmons Bank. “We are confident his experience and knowledge will serve him well as community executive.”
Bird graduated with a Bachelor of Science in business management from Lambuth University in Jackson. He is a graduate of both the Southeastern School of Advanced Commercial Lending and the Southeastern School of Banking.
As he assumes his new role as community executive, Bird will serve as primary contact for customer banking relationships and will work closely with clients to meet their financial service needs.
