Kansas City, MO — Kathy Hunter and Scott Heady have joined Simmons Bank as senior vice presidents in the Kansas City market. Both have more than three decades of commercial banking experience.

Hunter specializes in commercial and government banking solutions, as well as U.S. Small Business Administration loans. She serves on the boards of the Blue Springs Economic Development Council and the Heart of America Region for USA Volleyball. She was honored as the SBA’s Financial Services Advocate of the Year in 2000 for the Kansas City District Office and is a member of the 2001 Class of Women Who Mean Business.

In addition to his work in the Kansas City market, Heady will develop business across the region in the transportation industry and work on syndicated loans. He’s on the board of Villa St. Francis, a faith-based skilled nursing and memory care center in Olathe, Kan. Heady previously was the board chairman for Santa Marta, an Olathe retirement community, and led a $10 million expansion. He spent almost a decade teaching finance, economics and management at Park University.

“Kansas City continues to be a key growth market for Simmons Bank,” said Gary Metzger, the chairman of the Missouri/Kansas division for Simmons. “We hired Martin Nay as our market president last year, and he hit the ground running. The addition of Kathy and Scott to our team will help us take it to the next level in this market.”
