Southwest Bank, A Division of Simmons Bank, Names Community Affairs Officer, Commercial Banker - July 26, 2018

DALLAS-FORT WORTH, Texas – Southwest Bank, a division of Simmons Bank, has expanded both its community affairs and commercial banking teams. The bank named Stacy Bowers community affairs officer for the Dallas-Fort Worth area and Kyle Smith as commercial banker in Dallas, Texas.

With vast experience in community reinvestment act initiatives, fair housing and nonprofit relationships, Bowers will spearhead Southwest Bank’s community development programs and affairs, with an emphasis on serving underserved communities.

Bowers has received numerous professional and civic distinctions in recognition of her career and volunteer work in north Texas, including Dallas Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Leadership Award, Fort Worth Business Press’ 40 Under 40 Leadership Award and Conscious Magazine’s Sum and Substance Leader award. In 2013 and 2014, Bowers was also named Community Outreach Leader of the Year by her previous employer CitiBank.

An alumnus of the University of Texas, Bowers is also a graduate of Leadership Dallas and Leadership Southwest.

Kyle Smith

Smith will oversee business development for corporate and personal accounts, management of loan and depository portfolios, structuring of loan requests and underwriting processes for new loans.

Smith’s transition to Southwest Bank follows his role as assistant vice president of commercial lending at City Bank. During his five years with City Bank, Smith received three promotions due to his successful facilitation of new business and growth of existing client relationships.

A graduate of Texas A&M University, Smith serves as development officer for the Dallas-Fort Worth Wing of the Commemorative Air Force where he oversees all fundraising and philanthropic efforts for the organization.
