Simmons Bank announced today a donation to the new Janett Crain Memorial Library in White County. The $25,000 gift will support a study room on the first floor of the new library and will be available for public reservation following the opening of the library located at 954 Skyline Drive in Searcy.
“Simmons Bank has invested in the communities we serve for more than 100 years,” said Rees Jones, Searcy community president for Simmons Bank. “We are honored to support a place where our community can utilize resources that benefit the next generation of citizens and business in White County.”
According the White County Library Friends Foundation, the Janett Crain Memorial Library will be 33,000 square feet, three times larger than the current library on East Pleasure Avenue. Construction will begin in early 2023.
