Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson recently appointed Simmons Bank Executive Vice President and Chief Data Officer Lisa Hunter to the Arkansas State Board of Education. A native of Pine Bluff, Ark. Hunter will serve a seven-year term with the State Board of Education. She is a graduate of Louisiana Tech University and serves as a board member of the Pine Bluff Community Foundation, an affiliate of the Arkansas Community Foundation and previously served as the board member and campaign chair for the United Way.
"It is an honor to be selected, and I am very excited to serve the state of Arkansas," Hunter said. “I am grateful to the Governor for his confidence in me and for giving me an opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of Arkansas children."
