Simmons Bank Taps Zack Fischer as the Newest Member of Team Simmons Bank - February 02, 2022
Texarkana native joins as a brand ambassador

(Little Rock, Ark.) – Simmons Bank announced today the addition of Texarkana native and Korn Ferry Tour member Zack Fischer to Team Simmons Bank. Fischer joins fellow Simmons Bank brand ambassadors Ken Duke, Dawson Armstrong, Kevin Dougherty, Braden Thornberry and 2021 PGA TOUR Rookie of the Year and Masters sensation Will Zalatoris.

Fischer was recently named by the Korn Ferry Tour as one of the Top-10 players to watch in 2022.

“It’s an honor to welcome Zack Fischer to Team Simmons Bank,” said George A. Makris, Jr. chairman and CEO of Simmons Bank. “His determination, talent and sportsmanship make him an outstanding addition to this team of qualified athletes.”

A member of the Korn Ferry Tour since 2014, Fischer experienced a historic season in 2021, becoming the first two-time medalist in recent history of the Korn Ferry Tour’s qualifying tournament, Q-School, breaking a four-way tie for first with a 12-foot birdie. Fischer received his first qualifying medal in 2013.

An alumnus of the University of Texas at Arlington, Fischer turned professional in 2011. Fischer supports several nonprofit organizations including Community Connections supporting children with special needs and Immerse Arkansas helping kids transition to adulthood who age out of the foster care system.

Throughout the years, Simmons Bank has built a robust sponsorship program. In Nashville, Simmons Bank is the title sponsor of the PGA TOUR’s Korn Ferry Tour event – the Simmons Bank Open for the Snedeker Foundation. In St. Louis, Simmons Bank is a proud sponsor of the St. Louis Blues, a member of the National Hockey League, as well as the Official Bank of the Ascension Charity Classic, a new event on the PGA Champions Tour. In partnership with the Tennessee Golf Association and the Arkansas State Golf Association, the bank is the presenting sponsor of the Simmons Bank Cup, a Ryder Cup-style tournament featuring amateur champions from both states.
