LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Simmons Bank has named Chad Rawls executive vice president and executive director of credit and loan operations. In this role, Rawls will oversee commercial underwriting, loan administration and loan operations.
Rawls’ transition to Simmons follows seven years at Bear State Bank, where he served as chief credit officer, chairman of the executive loan committee and as a member of the bank’s executive team.
“Chad’s vast experience and time as a banker and credit approver will be valuable to Simmons as we strive for a best-in-class delivery system for our lending customers, one that’s focused on speed, efficiency and quality,” said Matt Reddin, Simmons Bank executive vice president and president of banking enterprise. “Simmons is thrilled to have someone of Chad’s caliber spearhead this critical area of our bank.”
Rawls began his banking career at U.S. Bank in 2005 and quickly established a record for success. He served as market president for Faulkner County and as vice president over corporate banking in Arkansas. In 2008, he won U.S. Bank’s Pinnacle Award for performance that placed his production in the top one percent.
A graduate of Leadership Greater Little Rock, Rawls was named to Arkansas Business’ 40 under 40 List of Who Bears Watching in 2013. The Rison, Arkansas native is also heavily involved in his community through the ministry of New Life Church in Conway.
